Needed to run the site and app

These are always on, because the website and app do not work properly without them:

• ciai_pv (cookie, app.ciai.ai, 2 days): a random identifier used only to limit how many home-page previews one visitor can run per day. It holds nothing about you.
• ple_sso (cookie, app.ciai.ai, 10 minutes): used only while you sign in with Microsoft, to complete the sign-in securely.
• Sign-in storage (app.ciai.ai, your browser’s local storage): keeps you signed in to the app until you sign out.
• Your choices (local storage): your analytics choice and display preferences such as reading theme, so we do not ask again on every visit.
• Campaign details (www.ciai.ai, session storage, cleared when you close the tab): the campaign tags, landing page and referring page of your visit, sent with any form you submit so we know how you found us.

Optional analytics: Microsoft Clarity

If you choose Accept in the cookie banner, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website and app, so we can improve them. Clarity records usage such as the pages you view, clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, and records sessions so they can be replayed. It also collects device and browser details and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

Clarity sets first-party cookies such as _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft may set its own cookies (such as CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, MR and SM).

Clarity does not load at all unless you accept. If you decline, or make no choice, no Clarity script runs.

Payment pages

Tuition and course payments are completed on pages run by Stripe (pay.ciai.ai and checkout pages). Stripe sets its own cookies there, to process payments and prevent fraud, under Stripe’s own privacy and cookie policies.

Managing your choices

You can change your analytics choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Choosing Decline removes Clarity’s cookies from the site and stops Clarity loading.

You can also block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you block the ones the site and app need, sign-in and some features may stop working.
